One of the questions I have received is regarding follow up letters.  Here is a generic letter adopted for our rural community. While this would not work for every ministry - it does address some of the obstacles people in our community have against "church".

Dear Friend,
Let us take this opportunity to welcome you to Holly Springs Bible Fellowship. We were honored that you chose to be with us last Sunday. We try to help the people of our community experience the love of God in fresh and exciting ways.

We want our ministry to be a place where people experience God, find practical help for life, and establish life long friendships. Our primary focus is our worship time on Sunday mornings. We gather each Sunday for worship, fellowship, prayer, and communion. It is our desire to meet God, share blessings and burdens, and celebrate our salvation in Christ. We seek to respond positively to Bible messages that teach us to know Jesus Christ, obey Him, and properly represent Him to the world.

We believe that all people matter to God and should matter to us. However, we also believe that people should not feel pressured regarding their worship. We try to balance your privacy with our desire to love and help you. We will not call or visit unless asked to do so. You will never be asked for money, or feel pressured to become a part of this fellowship. We are simply here to assist and help you in your relationship with God.

Whatever your past spiritual or church experience may have been, we want you to know that you are welcome in our Fellowship. We would love to get to know you and our hope is that your first experiences here will be just the beginning of a great relationship.
